The attached Naval STEM flyer has all the internship opportunities for College and High School students. The NREIP (College)internship program is through the Office of Naval Research Office. We do have several other internship partnerships in place with different schools such as SDSU, SWC, MiraMesa College, etc. I have included the employment flyer (front/back) & finally, if a school is interested in partnering with us for a STEM outreach event.
We have several opportunities for internships and employment here at NIWC Pacific (San Diego, Hawaii, Philadelphia, and/or Guam). To better assist, please have the interested student(s) email me directly with their interest areas. I can connect him with some mentors here at the center to see about a connection and possible internship selection during the summer session for 2024.
Application Season for Summer STEM Internship Programs 2024 is currently OPEN 1 Aug - 1 Nov 2023. All programs listed are paid programs for 8+ weeks of work.
**All must be US Citizens**
These are paid programs (High School- $4000-$4500, College- $7500-$11,500)
NIWC Pacific Labs (San Diego, Hawaii, & Philadelphia) Usually facilitate the Summer program June - Aug yearly. Your cousin would have to apply for the summer internship and be selected by a mentor/team. We do have some employment opportunities and their specific needs and qualifications based on the needs at the center will be addressed.
College: NREIP Students apply online for the program at: https://navalsteminterns.us/nreip Application season: 1 Aug –1 Nov (10 weeks of summer work, can be extended up to 4 weeks)
(we do have paid Fall and Winter Internships as well if they apply & technical codes requested)
NREIP has a Fall Engagement Oct-Dec (NIWC PAC does this in the month of Oct) short 40-hour internship interaction/introduction to learn about the center and project scopes.
